Wood is a living material. Even after it’s crafted into an urn or a keepsake box, it continues to react to light, humidity, and temperature. With simple care, your piece will stay beautiful for decades.
Handle your wooden piece with clean, dry hands. Oils and moisture from the skin can gradually dull the finish, especially on natural-oil surfaces.
To clean, use a soft, dry microfiber cloth.
Avoid chemicals, water sprays, or furniture polish. They can leave cloudy marks and weaken the finish over time.
For stubborn dust in corners, gently use a dry soft-bristle brush.
Keep your piece away from direct sunlight, heaters, or air conditioners. Sudden changes in temperature or humidity may cause slight movement in the wood.
If displayed near a window, try choosing a shaded or indirect-light spot.
Wood absorbs moisture easily.
Do not keep the urn or box in damp spaces such as bathrooms, basements, or rooms with high humidity.
If you live in a humid region, placing a small silica gel packet nearby helps maintain balance.
Every few months, wipe the surface to keep it dust-free and even.
If the finish is natural oil, a very light application of high-quality wood oil once a year can refresh the tone. Only use oils recommended by us.
When moving the urn, hold it from the base. Don’t lift by the lid, especially if it has a threaded or sliding mechanism.
Avoid rough fabrics or abrasive cloths.
